Index-Translate-9B is an open multilingual translation model from bilibili's Index LLM team, built on Qwen3.5 and part of the Index-Translate model family (alongside 2B and 35B-A3B preview variants plus dubbing/long-document derivatives). It supports text translation and translation instructions (terminology, formatting, content preservation) across 150 languages and claims SoTA-level performance in its size class, rivaling larger general-purpose models. Weights were released on September 30, 2026 under the Apache-2.0 license on Hugging Face and ModelScope, together with a technical report, GitHub code, and an online demo. A related speech variant (Index-Echo S2ST) additionally enables dubbing with source-speaker voice cloning/timbre preservation.
