Inkling-Small is a Mixture-of-Experts language model announced as a Preview by Thinking Machines Lab on July 15, 2026, featuring 276 billion total parameters and 12 billion active parameters per Token. It was trained using a similar training recipe as its larger sister model Inkling (975B/41B active) and achieves comparable or even better results on many Benchmarks at lower costs and reduced latency. The full model weights have not yet been released; according to the provider, the model is still in testing phase, which is why pricing, exact release date, and license for this specific model have not yet been officially announced.
