Inkling-Small is a lightweight AI model presented as a preview by Thinking Machines Lab on July 15, 2026 – a sibling model to the flagship "Inkling". It is a Mixture-of-Experts model with 276 billion total parameters and 12 billion active parameters, developed using a similar training recipe as Inkling, and achieves comparable or better results on multiple Benchmarks at lower costs and reduced latency.
