Unsloth is an Open-Source framework and local web-UI (Unsloth Studio) for fast and memory-efficient Fine-Tuning, training, and running of Open-Source AI models (including Llama, Qwen, Gemma, DeepSeek). It is software, not physical hardware; training optimizations run on NVIDIA GPUs (as well as partially AMD and Apple Silicon). Unsloth is developed by the Y-Combinator startup Unsloth AI, founded in 2023 by brothers Daniel and Michael Han in San Francisco. The product is dual-licensed: the core under Apache 2.0, the Studio UI under AGPL-3.0, with paid Pro/Enterprise tiers featuring Multi-GPU support also available.
