Razorpay Vulcan is a proprietary, transformer-based AI foundation model from Indian fintech company Razorpay, built specifically for payments rather than text like conventional LLMs. It was trained on roughly three trillion data points across four billion payments and learns from about 3,000 signals per transaction to improve payment routing, fraud detection, risk assessment and checkout personalization. The model was developed with NVIDIA (compute) and AWS (cloud infrastructure, including Amazon SageMaker) and is fully owned by Razorpay. It is currently free for merchants to use.
