Asimov is a custom AI inference accelerator (ASIC) from Positron AI that replaces HBM with commodity LPDDR5X memory and is deployed in the Titan system with four to eight chips. Memory figures range from 288 GB to 2,304 GB per chip. According to the company, the chip is in development: tapeout on TSMC N3P at the end of 2026, production in the second half of 2027. Performance figures reported in the press come from simulations, not production silicon.
