Epicure is a family of three multilingual Ingredient-Embedding models (Cooc, Chem, Core) from KAIKAKU.AI, a London-based robotics/F&B startup. The models were trained on 4.14 million recipes from 11 sources in seven languages and map 1,790 canonical ingredients in a 300-dimensional vector space to make ingredient pairings, substitutions, and culinary patterns (e.g., kitchen regions) computable. The models are publicly accessible via Hugging Face (CC BY 4.0), a web demo ("Flavour Explorer") at epicure.kaikaku.ai, and a free, anonymous read-only MCP server for agent integrations. The accompanying paper was published on arXiv in May 2026.
