Agent Browser Shield is a free, source-available Chromium browser extension from PixieBrix that serves as a security layer between browser-using AI Agents and the web. It masks PII and credentials, removes Prompt Injection vectors (hidden text, HTML comments), and blocks manipulative Dark Patterns as well as page "Chrome" (cookie banners, footers, ads) to save Tokens. The extension runs purely locally without telemetry and offers over 35 preconfigured rules that are customizable per website. It is designed as a Manifest V3 extension and can be integrated into Agent runtimes such as Browser Use, Browserbase, and OpenClaw/ClawHub.
