Perplexity Computer is a cloud-based, general-purpose AI agent ("digital worker") that autonomously plans and executes entire workflows rather than just answering questions. It breaks goals into subtasks, spawns sub-agents, and orchestrates roughly 19-20 different AI models (including Claude Opus 4.6 as core reasoning engine, Gemini for research, Grok, GPT-5.2, Nano Banana, Veo 3.1), routing each subtask to whichever model is best suited. Tasks run in isolated cloud sandboxes and can span hours to months; the product connects to hundreds of third-party connectors (Gmail, Slack, Notion, Snowflake, Salesforce, etc.) and also supports custom MCP servers.
