Protodash is an internal, non-publicly distributed prototyping tool by Stripe, developed by Design Manager Owen Williams. It enables designers and product managers to create high-quality, clickable prototypes of the Stripe Dashboard without coding, based on Stripe's design system "Sail". The tool started as a collection of Cursor rules and React components and evolved into a browser-based studio ("Protodash Studio") with design review modes, variant testing, and AI-powered iteration, running on internal cloud dev boxes. As a purely internal company tool, there is no public pricing, licensing, or external API documentation.
