Spline V2 is a fundamentally redesigned, browser-based 3D editor from Spline, released on August 20, 2026. The version features a WebGPU-based renderer (with WebGL fallback), new modeling and material tools, and an integrated AI agent that can create and edit scenes based on text prompts. Through a new MCP server, external AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and VS Code can be directly connected to the editor to work on editable 3D scenes. Spline V2 is available both in the browser and through a new desktop app for macOS and Windows.
