Ramp Router (also referred to in media as "Free LLM Router") is an OpenAI-compatible LLM Gateway from fintech company Ramp. It automatically routes every AI request to the cheapest model that meets a defined quality threshold, combining this with caching, compression, and automatic fallback when model providers experience outages. The tool was originally used internally at Ramp for over 100 proprietary AI functions for three years and processes approximately 2.75 trillion Tokens monthly before being made publicly available. At launch, usage is free (you only pay standard Token list prices), and a Ramp account is not required.
