Pangram 4 is the current AI text detection model from Pangram Labs, released on July 29, 2026 alongside a Research-Preview of an image detector. The model is approximately six times larger than its predecessor Pangram 3 and achieves, according to internal benchmarks, a false-positive rate of 0.0041% and a false-negative rate of 0.3396%, including improved detection of AI "humanizer" tools and mixed human-AI text. Access is provided via web dashboard, Chrome/Firefox extension, LMS integrations (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, and others), as well as a REST-API with usage-based billing; the model is hosted on Pangram's cloud infrastructure with no self-hosting option.
