Junie is the AI-Coding-Agent from JetBrains that autonomously plans, executes, tests, and verifies programming tasks directly in JetBrains IDEs, in the Terminal (Junie CLI), in CI/CD pipelines, and via GitHub/GitLab integrations. The tool is LLM-agnostic: users can choose between leading models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI, or use their own API keys via Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK). Junie launched in January 2025 as an Early-Access program and reached General Availability status in June 2026. It is included as part of the JetBrains AI subscription and available through a credit-based pricing model.
