Flock Safety is a US technology company founded in 2017 in Atlanta that offers automated license plate recognition cameras (ALPR/LPR), video surveillance systems, and AI-powered analysis software to municipalities, law enforcement agencies, homeowner associations, and businesses. The cameras use solar and mobile network technology (LTE) to recognize license plates and vehicle characteristics (make, model, color) and cross-reference them with wanted lists. The product is not sold but rented via a subscription model ("Public-Safety-as-a-Service"), including installation, maintenance, cloud hosting, and software updates. There is no standalone product called "Flock Safety"—the name refers to both the company and its product platform (including Falcon and Sparrow cameras, FlockOS).
