Flock (Flock Safety) is an automated license plate recognition (ALPR) system for public safety developed by Flock Group Inc. (founded 2017, Atlanta, USA). The core component is the Falcon camera, a solar- and battery-powered, mobile-networked surveillance camera that captures license plates and vehicle characteristics (make, model, color) via AI/Computer Vision and cross-references them against wanted lists. The data converges in the FlockOS software platform, which provides alerts, search functions, and a nationwide network for data sharing between agencies. The system is offered on a subscription model (hardware, installation, cloud hosting included) to police departments, municipalities, businesses, and residential complexes, primarily in the USA.
