Doubao Work is a standalone AI workplace agent product launched by ByteDance on August 25, 2026, evolved from Doubao's earlier "Work Task" mode and consolidating the Coze and Trae teams. It autonomously breaks down user goals into subtasks, calls tools and skills, and can operate local computers, cloud virtual desktops, and browsers with user authorization. Through deep integration with ByteDance's Feishu/Lark collaboration platform, it can draw on documents, meeting notes, calendars and enterprise context, delivering results directly as Feishu documents. The product directly competes with Tencent's WorkBuddy and Alibaba's Qwen Office in China's enterprise AI market.
