EDEN is Basecamp Research's biological foundation model for life-science research that learns the language of DNA from evolutionary data. The model scales from 100 million to 28 billion parameters and was trained on BaseData, a proprietary genomic dataset containing over 10 billion novel genes from more than a million newly discovered species. EDEN is used to design therapeutic molecules, including programmable gene-insertion enzymes, antimicrobial peptides, and vaccine targets, and is available among other channels as a connector via Anthropic's Claude Science. Usage is restricted to "research use only."
