Microduck is a 25 cm tall, sub-800 g biped robot from Pollen Robotics (part of Hugging Face), designed as an open development platform for Physical AI, Reinforcement Learning, and Sim-to-Real training. It features 15 motors, a camera, LiDAR depth sensor, two IMUs, and a grasping beak, and can walk, sit, fall, and autonomously stand back up. The software (robot control, simulation, RL training) is Open Source under Apache-2.0, though the hardware designs are not open. Pre-orders have been available since August 27, 2026 at an introductory price of $399, with initial shipments expected before Christmas 2026.
