Omarchy is a free, Open Source Linux distribution by Ruby-on-Rails creator David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH), based on Arch Linux with the Hyprland Tiling Compositor and Quickshell desktop shell. The current major version "Quattro" (Omarchy 4) integrates AI coding agents (including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok) as core system components: a status bar displays agent usage limits, crash diagnostics are automatically routed to the default agent, and a included "Skill" file allows agents controlled system reconfiguration. The project is backed by the newly founded Omacom Foundation, which receives financial support from companies including Shopify, Stripe, Dell, Block, and Cloudflare.
