Kimi-K2.7-Code is an open-source, coding-focused agentic language model by Moonshot AI, released on June 12, 2026. It is built on a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture with 1 trillion total parameters (32 billion active per token) and a 256,000-token context window. The model is explicitly optimized for long-horizon, multi-step software engineering tasks and reduces thinking-token usage by approximately 30% compared to its predecessor K2.6. Thinking mode is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
