Silico is a platform introduced in April 2026 by interpretability startup Goodfire, enabling researchers and developers to analyze the inner workings of AI models (particularly open-source LLMs), diagnose misbehavior, and strategically reshape models. The tool is based on mechanistic interpretability and uses agents that automatically plan experiments, conduct diagnostics, and adjust parameters of individual neurons. Access is currently available through Early Access or "Request Access," with no public pricing announced—costs are determined individually based on customer requirements. Silico primarily works with models where users have access to internal weights (e.g., open-source models like Qwen 3), not with closed systems like ChatGPT.
