Bolt (bolt.new) is a browser-based No-Code/AI app builder from StackBlitz that generates, runs, and deploys complete full-stack web applications (frontend, backend, database) from text input. The platform uses StackBlitz's WebContainer technology to run Node.js environments directly in the browser, eliminating the need for local setup. The underlying AI model is based on Anthropic's Claude (originally Claude 3.5 Sonnet); since Bolt v2 (October 2025), additional agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini are available. Bolt.new itself is proprietary and paid; in parallel, Bolt.diy exists as an Open Source MIT-licensed community version that allows users to integrate any LLMs.
