NVIDIA OpenShell is an open-source, secure-by-design runtime for executing autonomous AI agents inside kernel-level sandboxes. It sits between agents and host infrastructure, enforcing filesystem, network, and process constraints via declarative YAML policies. OpenShell is model- and agent-agnostic: common coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and Copilot run unmodified inside it. Current development status is Alpha ("single-player mode").
