Antigravity CLI is Google's terminal-based AI coding agent and official successor to Gemini CLI, announced at Google I/O on May 19, 2026. It is a lightweight Terminal User Interface (TUI) that shares the same agent harness as Antigravity 2.0, bringing multi-step reasoning, multi-file editing, tool calling, and asynchronous subagents directly into the local shell. The tool is written in Go, optimized for SSH/remote workflows, and is part of the four-surface Antigravity platform (Antigravity 2.0, CLI, SDK, IDE). Gemini CLI ceased serving individual users on June 18, 2026; enterprise customers on Gemini Code Assist Standard/Enterprise remain unaffected.
