Midjourney V8.2 is a text-to-image model that has been active as the standard version on midjourney.com since July 24, 2026, replacing V8.1. The update focuses on aesthetics, image quality, and personalization; images are intended to appear more creative, bolder, refined, and distinctive. It supports native 2K-HD generation without a separate Upscaling step and existing tools such as Inpainting/Outpainting (Vary Region, Pan, Zoom Out), Style References, and Moodboards. Access is available through paid subscription plans (Basic to Mega) on the web app or via Discord.
