Midjourney is a cloud-based AI image generator by the independent research lab Midjourney, Inc. (San Francisco), which creates high-quality images from natural language text prompts. The product is available exclusively as a paid subscription, accessible via the web interface midjourney.com and a Discord bot. The current default model is V8.1 (as of June 2026), offering significantly faster generation and native HD 2K output compared to earlier versions. Since 2025, Midjourney also supports an image-to-video feature.
