LongCat is a family of frontier language models developed by Meituan's AI lab. The current flagship, LongCat-2.0 (released June 30, 2026), is an open-source Mixture-of-Experts model with 1.6 trillion total parameters (~48B active per token) and a native 1-million-token context window, purpose-built for agentic coding. The full training and inference pipeline ran entirely on a cluster of 50,000+ domestic Chinese ASIC accelerators, with no Nvidia hardware. The model family also includes multimodal variants (LongCat-Next for image/audio/text, LongCat-Flash-Omni) and specialized models for video avatars, formal proofs, and reasoning.
