Cohere North Mini Code (North-Mini-Code-1.0) is an open-weight Mixture-of-Experts language model with 30B total parameters and 3B active parameters per token, released on June 9, 2026 under the Apache 2.0 license. It is purpose-built for agentic software engineering, code generation, and terminal tasks, running on a single NVIDIA H100 GPU at FP8 precision. The model is the inaugural member of Cohere's new "North" model family and is available for free on Hugging Face as well as via the Cohere API and OpenRouter. No per-token API price has been officially published by Cohere; on OpenRouter the model is available on a free tier.
