Gas Town is an Open Source toolkit developed by Steve Yegge for orchestrating multiple AI Coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot). It enables parallel execution of 20-30 agent instances via a tmux- and Git/Dolt-based infrastructure with persistent task status (Beads-Ledger). The project was released as Open Source on January 1, 2026 and is MIT-licensed; it now resides in the GitHub repository of the community organization "gastownhall". Additionally, a paid hosted Cloud version is available through partner Kilo.
