Prime Agent is an Open Source coding agent harness by Prime Intellect, released on August 5, 2026. It is based on the concept of "Recursive Language Model" (RLM) and a "Continual Harness," using a persistent IPython kernel as its sole tool, which allows the model to manage context programmatically, invoke sub-agents, and persist state across sessions. Combined with the "Opus 5" model, Prime Agent achieved 95.5% on the ARC-AGI-3 Benchmark according to the manufacturer, surpassing the reported human expert baseline of 95.4%; Prime Intellect did not publish an SWE-bench-Verified result. The tool is MIT-licensed, runs as a CLI on Linux/macOS (Windows via WSL), and supports numerous model providers via subscription log.
