GLM-5.3 is an AI model introduced by Z.ai (Zhipu AI) on August 14, 2026, built on the same 743-billion-parameter foundation as GLM-5.2, with all capability gains achieved exclusively through scaled Post-Training. The focus lies on Coding/Agentic tasks and cybersecurity (defensive), with the model having developed an previously unplanned, emergent ability for multi-stage Exploit-Chain analysis according to Z.ai. Unlike GLM-5.2, the Open Source weights are not released immediately, but only around two weeks after announcement following security review; until then, the model is only accessible via GLM Coding Plan, ZCode, and the Z.ai API. An official license and per-Token API pricing for GLM-5.3 had not been published at the time of research.
