XREAL AURA (formerly "Project Aura") is a wired, Optical-See-Through XR headset from XREAL, developed in cooperation with Google and Qualcomm. It runs on Android XR with integrated Google Gemini assistant and uses a split-compute architecture: the headset itself contains XREAL's X1S co-processor and two Sony micro-OLED displays (1920x1200 px, up to 120Hz, 70° field of view), while actual computing power is provided via a wired compute puck with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite chipset. The product targets developers and end users for entertainment, productivity, gaming, and AI-powered spatial applications and is scheduled to launch in fall 2026 initially in the US, UK, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and additional countries.
