Pangram is an AI detection system by Pangram Labs (founded 2023 in Brooklyn/New York, originally as Checkfor.ai) that analyzes texts, images, and social media content for AI-generated or AI-assisted components. The product is offered via web interface, browser extension, API, and LMS integrations, targeting educational institutions, publishers, Trust & Safety teams, and enterprises. The current model generation (Pangram 4, as of late July 2026) detects text from common LLMs such as GPT-4/4o, Claude, Gemini, Llama, and DeepSeek, distinguishes four levels from "Fully Human" to "Fully AI-Generated," and advertises a very low false-positive rate. Additionally, Pangram has offered an image recognition feature (Research Preview) for AI-generated images since 2026.
