Momentum
Fable (officially "Claude Fable 5") is Anthropic's first generally available model of the new "Mythos" class, positioned above Opus 4.8. It is designed for Frontier-Reasoning, long-running agentic tasks, coding, knowledge work, and vision, and is offered via the Claude API as well as AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry. The model features a 1-million-Token context window as standard, up to 128k output Tokens per request, and achieves top performance on SWE-Bench Pro among tested Frontier models. Additional safety classifiers can decline certain requests or route them to Opus 4.8.
