Mistral Large 3 is the current flagship language model from Mistral AI, released in December 2025 as part of the "Mistral 3" model family. It is an efficient Mixture-of-Experts model with 675 billion total and 41 billion active parameters that operates natively multimodal (text and images) and was released under the open Apache 2.0 license. The model offers a context window of 256,000 Token and is available via the Mistral API as well as partner platforms such as Microsoft Azure/Foundry and Hugging Face.
