Lightwell is a joint initiative by IBM and Red Hat for AI-powered securing of the Open Source software supply chain. The platform combines generative AI models with human engineering expertise to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities in Open Source dependencies through signed, verified patches without requiring disruptive version upgrades. It is offered as an annual subscription with the options "Lightwell Network" (self-service access to signed libraries/patches) and "Lightwell Clearinghouse Premier" (limited availability, including for financial institutions). LTM (formerly LTIMindtree) is involved as an IBM Platinum Partner in deployment and integration services around Lightwell, not in the core product itself.
