Instacore is a wearable hardware system from Instawork Robotics Lab (IRL) designed to capture real-world training data for general-purpose robots and physical AI foundation models. It consists of five hardware-synchronized cameras (head, chest, two wrists) paired with a power-efficient compute backpack built for a full eight-hour work shift. The system is purpose-built for deployment in real commercial environments such as kitchens, warehouses, hotels, and light manufacturing facilities, worn by certified gig workers called "Pros." It is modular by design and can be customized with UMI grippers or alternative camera configurations based on partner requirements.
