The Ascend 960DT is a Huawei AI accelerator for model training (and the decode stage of inference), announced at Huawei Connect 2026 on September 17, 2026. According to the manufacturer it delivers 2 PFLOPS FP8 and 4 PFLOPS FP4 with 288 GB HBM and 9.6 TB/s memory bandwidth, plus 2.2 TB/s interconnect bandwidth. Availability is announced for Q1 2027, three quarters earlier than originally planned.
