The DeepSeek API is the commercial programming interface of Chinese AI company DeepSeek, providing usage-based access (per Token) to the language models DeepSeek-V4-Flash and DeepSeek-V4-Pro. The API is compatible with OpenAI and Anthropic interface request formats, allowing existing SDKs to be reused with only the base URL changed. Both models feature a 1 million Token context window, support Thinking and non-Thinking modes, and benefit from automatic prompt caching with significantly reduced prices on cache hits. According to official documentation, there is no fixed RPM/TPM limit; instead, dynamic, account-based concurrency limits apply.
