Suno Sutra is an Open Source hardware reference device for local AI Inference developed jointly by Current AI and India's Bhashini authority. It is a hand-sized, battery-powered Embedded-Linux device with camera, screen, microphone, and speaker that simultaneously runs three AI models (Vision, speech recognition/translation, text-to-speech) offline and supports all 22 official languages of India. The project was unveiled on February 20, 2026 at the India AI Impact Summit; hardware and software design as well as development guides are publicly available on GitHub. It aims to serve as an Open Source reference platform for developers creating their own AI devices, particularly for regions with limited internet connectivity.
