Base1 is the first proprietary AI model from Base44 (Wix subsidiary), a No-Code/"Vibe-Coding" app builder, unveiled on June 29, 2026. It is a model trained on an existing Open Source base model using Reinforcement Learning and Fine-Tuning, specifically optimized for creating web apps from natural language—not a Frontier model trained from scratch. The training foundation consists of ten million real user interactions on the Base44 platform, along with synthetic data and simulated RL environments. Base1 is available to users within Base44 in the model selection alongside GPT-5.5 and Claude Opus 4.8; there is no standalone external product or separate pricing list for Base1—costs follow the standard rates.
