The Agent Toolkit for AWS is an officially AWS-supported, open-source suite of MCP servers, skills, and plugins that enables AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Kiro) to interact with AWS services securely, auditably, and based on current documentation. The toolkit consists of four components: a fully managed AWS MCP Server with full API coverage, curated agent skills, plugins (single-install packages), and rules files for project-level configuration. Access to all 300+ AWS services and 15,000+ API actions is provided through a single authenticated endpoint; no authentication is required for documentation search. The toolkit is the successor to the MCP servers and plugins previously available in AWS Labs.
