You.com is an AI search and research platform founded in 2020/2021 by Richard Socher and Bryan McCann (both former Salesforce) and based in Palo Alto. The product combines an AI chat (YouChat) with web search, source attribution, customizable agents, and the research agent ARI, as well as search, content, and research APIs for developers. The platform is model-agnostic and allows users to choose between different LLMs (including GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini) or automatically route via Auto mode. You.com serves both end users (consumer subscriptions) and developers and enterprise customers (API platform, Zero Data Retention, integrations with internal data sources).
