Reflection is the announced but not yet released Frontier language model from US startup Reflection AI (founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou). The company positions itself as an open, Western alternative to closed Frontier labs like OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as a counterpart to Chinese Open-Weight providers like DeepSeek. Reflection AI has secured billion-dollar Compute deals (including with SpaceX/Colossus 2 and Nebius) to train the model, but as of August 2026, neither model weights nor official technical specifications, Benchmarks, or pricing have been released. The only product currently available on the market is the coding agent "Asimov" (waitlist), not the Frontier language model itself.
