#27 in Coding AgentsSynopsys · 2× · last seen Sep 30, 2026
Synopsys Autopilot is not a classical coding-agent IDE, but rather an open orchestration platform for "autonomous engineering" in chip design unveiled on September 28, 2026. It coordinates long-running "AgentEngineer" agents (verification, system validation, implementation, analog/mixed-signal design, manufacturing, simulation/analysis) on top of existing Synopsys EDA and simulation tools. The platform provides orchestration, contextual intelligence (skills, persistent memory), telemetry, and security and governance capabilities, and allows customers to freely choose models (commercial, Open Source, or Fine-Tuned) as well as infrastructure (Synopsys Cloud, private cloud, or On-Premises).
