Slackbot is Slack's (Salesforce) native AI agent, generally available since January 13, 2026 as a fully reimagined personal work assistant built directly into Slack. It leverages full context from messages, channels, files and Salesforce data to autonomously execute tasks, create content, summarize meetings and orchestrate external apps and agents via MCP. The underlying model is Anthropic Claude (FedRAMP Moderate certified); Google Gemini integration is announced. With 30+ new features (March/April 2026), Slackbot was expanded into an MCP client capable of accessing 2,600+ Slack Marketplace apps and 6,000+ Salesforce AppExchange apps.
