Ramp Research is an internal, agentic AI system of fintech company Ramp that functions as a "Data Analyst" answering data questions from employees via Slack. The agent is connected to Ramp's central data sources dbt, Looker, and Snowflake, indexes their metadata, and can independently inspect tables, construct queries, and explain results. The tool launched in August 2025 and answered over 1,800 questions from approximately 300 users by September 2025; it is exclusively for internal use at Ramp and is not available as a customer product.
