Poolside is a US-based AI company (founded in 2023 by Jason Warner and Eiso Kant) that develops its own Foundation Models for agentic programming (the "Laguna" model family) as well as an accompanying Coding Agent called "pool". The models are provided via a proprietary API, OpenRouter, Vercel AI Gateway, and as Open-Weight downloads (Hugging Face), and can be used in terminals, IDEs (VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, and others) or through ACP-compatible editors. In addition to enterprise and government business (individually distributed on-premise solutions), Poolside has offered a self-service model with public Token pricing for its open Laguna models since 2026. The current flagship model Laguna S 2.1 (118B-parameter MoE, 8B active) achieves 70.2%
