Hermes Desktop is the official native desktop application for Nous Research's open-source AI agent "Hermes Agent," released in public preview on June 2, 2026. The app brings the previously terminal-only agent to macOS, Windows, and Linux as a graphical interface while sharing the same agent core, configuration, sessions, skills, and memory as the CLI and gateway. It is fully MIT-licensed and model-agnostic, compatible with Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI, or any custom endpoint. The agent features a built-in learning loop that creates and improves skills across sessions, natural-language scheduling, and delegation to isolated subagents.
